At the age of 11 Vince Stanzione was already responsible for the payroll for his father’s three hairdressing shops, and by 14, was dealing in computer software at his comprehensive school. At 16 he joined the foreign exchange department at NatWest as a tea-boy, rising to become a trader on earnings of up to £70,000 a year at 18. He lost his savings in the stockmarket crash of 1987, along with most of his business interests.

Seeing the potential to market the mobile phone, Vince went into business with an older partner and gambled his last few hundreds on an advert in a paper. He started a finance company in 1990 and sold it four years later.
After a brief time of travelling, Vince Stanzione returned to trading financial markets and had a financially successful strong run in commodities making over £2 million from spread betting with firms such as IG Index.
In 2004 Vince launched The Advert Channel which was the world first television channel dedicated to television commercials.
In 2005 the parent company floated on the UK Alternative Investment Market AIM as TV Commerce Holdings Plc (TVC). The channel intended to combine telephone, short message service (SMS) and television services to drive revenues, and offer services such as photo palm-reading via picture phones. It broadcasted on British Sky Broadcasting Channel 694,. The company was admitted to AIM on 21 February 2005 at 6 pence per share.
After facing a difficult time with UK media regulators OFCOM, the company closed its television operations in the UK, repaying surplus cash to shareholders. TV Commerce Holdings plc then become a shell company and after a reverse and capital-raising was known as Gemstones of Africa (GOA). Gemstones of Africa is now listed as Edenville Energy Plc (LSE:EDL) and has secured six prospecting licences in Southern Tanzania covering prospective coal areas. Vince Stanzione remains a significant shareholder and his holdings are listed as 1.5% of the company, down from 3.23%.
On the 19th of March 2010 Vince was the Key Speaker at the Global Financial Trading Day held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre London together with Global Investor Jim Rogers and Marc Faber.
