Today I closed out my spread bet in Barratt developments as my exit criteria were met. It meant exiting at a loss of around £6 which was trickier than using a stop to exit the trade but I’m quite proud that I thought very little about it as soon as I seen the signal to exit. I promptly opened a short spread bet in Barratt developments as the exit criteria is also a signal to go short. I’m basically trying an experiment. As this is one of Vince Stanziones strategies I can’t reveal the entry and exit signals but what I am trying to do here is always be in and wait until a trend develops. It may end up whiping me out before a good enough trend comes along, hopefully not. Still the stakes are small enough that I can trial it without losing sleep. I for one will be interested to see how it pans out. As always I’ll keep you up to date with how things are progressing.
Today is a short post as I don’t have a lot of time. Hopefully as the week progresses I’ll get some time to look for new trades and write some better spread betting blog entries.
Until next time,
“May the markets be with you!”

That is the advantage of a stop, my position in Barrat opened at the same time, closed out some days ago on a breakeven stop!!
